July brought a lot of changes for Simplistic Stamping! A major change was with the personal promotions I offer customers. I needed to find another way to show my appreciation for all my stampers for their awesome loyalty. One of the most exciting promotions is the new punch card I offer. This is a great way to earn a free stamp set...even if you don't have luck with the 50-50-50 drawings! The PDF can be downloaded here: Punch Card

For every $25 dollars spent on an order, you get a punch. After 20 punches, you get to pick a free stamp set from any current catalog!! Can't beat that, can you?! Customers are responsible for keeping track of their own punches.

All other promotions can be found by going here! Take a look and take advantage of everything :)

Sunday's open house for the new Idea Book & Catalog was a success! Thanks to everyone that could make it out :) Here are a few pictures from the day if you missed out. I'm planning another one for September to get ready for the holidays and the new mini catalog that goes along with it! Be looking for dates soon!

This was the make and take that uses Delicate Doilies stamp set and the new In Colors (Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, and Pool Party). I really love this set and everything that coordinates with it....fabric, Designer Series Paper, etc.!
This was the RSVP gift - some ribbon, a cute little stamp, and of course chocolate!
And it's not an open house or stamping event without FOOD!

8x8 DSP Bag

I made this bag from a video I cased. To watch the video, click HERE. I case so many awesome projects from Chic 'n Scratch...I owe her.  This is my Mother's Day gift for my mom - well at least part of it. I'm hoping to get it filled with some cards before Sunday. That will be the surprise since she thought she wasn't going to get to know what it was until then.

I used Sunny Garden DSP (#119831) instead. This bag really allows you to mix things up with the embellishment if you are feeling creative.

April's Contest Winner

The winner of the big bag of paper scraps is Candy Koepke! I hope you enjoy and create some great things with the scraps. I'll get the bag to you as soon as possible!

There is still the drawing going for the first 30 people to follow the blog (gift card set and rhinestone package prize!!). So get some others to sign up so I can see you in the 'Followers' section on the right side of the blog. If you are having troubles doing that and it isn't working, send me an email or leave me a comment and I will add your name to the drawing.

And the winner is...

Candy Koepke! Congratulations on winning Simplistic Stamping's very first 50-50-50 drawing! The second drawing is filling up fast...so get another order in if you didn't win this round. I get through these drawings fairly quick!

If you haven't heard of the 50-50-50 drawing, here is how it works:
-For every $50 increment spent on products, I put your name in the drawing.
-When I have 50 names in the drawing, I draw for a $50 SU gift card!
*Only increments of $50 count towards drawings, any amount over $50 is not carried forward to your
       next purchase.
How easy is that?!

Petal Cone Die Ideas

I'll be honest...when I first saw the petal cone die in the Occassions Mini, it didn't really catch my eye. But I've seen lots of ideas online and now I love it! Here are just a few different ways of using it.

It makes a great treat holder and is super fast to make if you need a lot of them from friends, coworkers, etc. Crimping some scraps of old olive card stock is a quick way of making 'grass'.
Another variation is to trim the pointed ends off of the petal cone and can fold it in to a super cute box! It's a great way to get another use out of a die. You can fool everyone into thinking you spent so much time and money on different projects when really all you need is one die for your Big Shot :)
Supplies:
Easter Carrot
Petal Cone Die (#121810)
Big Shot (#113439)
Pumpkin Pie 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock (#119863)

Garden Green 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock (#102584)
Pear Pizzazz 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock (#119795)

Starting a New Stamp Class!

Since I signed up to be a demonstrator, my goal was to get a class going. I'm happy to announce that April 16th will be the first stamp class! We will make 4 birthday cards for a fee of $10. If you place an order for $25 or more at the class, the fee will be waived.  This class will be held at Karen Lockner's house in Watertown starting at 1:00 pm (I can give you directions if you don't know where that is). Please RSVP by April 1st by sending me an email at simplisticstamping@gmail.com. If less than 5 people plan on attending, the class will be cancelled.

**Classes will be BYOA (bring your own adhesive...SNAIL or another kind you prefer) but any speciality adhesives needed to complete the project will be supplied. I will have some new SNAIL available at the class to be purchased if you run out, forget, etc.

I hope this turns out to be a success! If all goes well, I'd like to add different clubs and classes that focus on other projects than cards in the future. The plan is to have this class monthly.
